Marine Surveying
Prior to buying any vessel it is extremely important that an independent marine survey is carried out. It will give you piece of mind that your intended purchase is safe and meets you expectations. It also ensures that your purchase is not only safe but, free from any major structural damage. It also allows for an independent view to your aspirations. Tailored marine services specialise in marine safety and as part of the survey a full check of all safety equipment is carried out with recommendations to enhance the safety of the vessel. The report will be spilt into three parts.
Part 1The condition report
This covers just about everything on the vessel and also includes a full inventory check. It will cover the condition of the gas and domestic water system through to the navigation system and rigging.
Part 2 Structural report
This will cover the structure of the vessel to include all bulkheads skin fitting, deck and full moisture check and osmosis assessment. Engine mountings and deck plates.
Part 3 Safety report
All fire extinguishers, man overboard recovery equipment, life rafts, life jackets and Harnesses are inspected and arrangements for servicing can also be made.
